For companies and businesses that use warehouses to store goods, raw materials, agricultural products, etc., the disinfection of warehouses is extremely important. For agricultural warehouses, weevils are the biggest enemy that damages the quality of agricultural products. With warehouse disinfection service, you will be more secure about your warehouse, the process consists of 3 steps as follows:
Step 1. Pre-disinfection survey
– Warehouse disinfection location: floor, surrounding area
– Commodity: type of goods, arrangement, packaging method, type of packaging, temperature
– Pests: composition, population density, common reproductive phase of the main pest
– Owner’s request.
– Take a representative sample of the lot prior to decontamination.
– Make a disinfection survey report.
Step 2. Make a disinfection plan:
– Prepare materials and equipment for implmentation:
- Quickphos Disinfectant 56%
- Sanitizing spray (actellic 50EC)
- Specialized disinfecting tarpaulin (if disinfecting covered with tarpaulin)
- Kraft paper
- Flour, adhesive tape
- Paper or medicine tray
- Rubber gloves, masks
- Gas masks
- Ventilation fan after sterilization
- First aid medical kit
- Warning sign and instructions and regulations in the sterilization process
- Manpower needed to disinfect warehouses
– Make a form for the steps to take
- Make a list of people participating in the disinfection of the warehouse, assign specific tasks to each member
- Schedule the implementation of each stage: sealing time, drug placement, sealing, discharging time
– Calculate the amount of fumigant needed.
Step 3: Perform disinfection
– Seal the disinfection space
– For tarpaulin-covered warehouse disinfection: move the canvas to the top of the shipment and pull the canvas to the sides to cover the shipment. Take the sand snake and insert the canvas foot. If the floor of the warehouse or the place of fumigation is not secure, the tarpaulin must be spread under the shelves to avoid the loss of medicine. Check the tightness of the canvas, if it is torn, it must be sealed with tape or kraft paper and glue.
– For warehouse sterilization: use kraft paper and glue to seal the slots, crevices, ventilation doors. Stick the door, but leave a door to enter to put medicine. If the warehouse floor is not secure, it must be sealed with cement, lime sand or kraft paper and adhesive.
– Sanitizing spray: spray cleaning around the disinfection shipment or around the warehouse area to avoid the re-infection of insects from the outside after the sterilization is finished (due to some insects flying or moving to the outside of the sterilization space during the decontamination of the warehouse).
