How many methods of conformity certification are there?

There are a total of 3 methods of certification of conformity: method 1, 5 and 7

  • Method 1: Typical sample test. The validity of the Certificate of Conformity is 1 year and is monitored through testing of samples each time it is imported. The certificate of conformity is only valid for the type and type of products and goods being sampled for testing. This method applies to imported products manufactured by overseas production facilities that have built a quality management system according to ISO 9001 or equivalent.
  • Method 5: Test type samples and evaluate the production process; monitoring through on-site or market sampling testing in conjunction with assessment of the production process. The validity of the Certificate of Conformity is not more than 3 years and is monitored annually through testing of samples at the production site or on the market in combination with the assessment of the production process. This method applies to all kinds of products manufactured by domestic or foreign manufacturers that have built and maintained a stable quality management system, production assurance conditions according to ISO 9001 or ISO 9001. equivalent
  • Method 7: Testing and evaluating batches of products and goods. The validity of the Certificate of conformity is only valid for batches of products and goods.

In short: methods 1 and 7 apply to imported products and goods. Certificate validity is different (Mode 1 is valid for 1 year, Mode 7 is valid on imported batches). Method 5 applies to domestically produced products, the certificate is valid for 3 years, and is monitored annually.
